Carpet is most often installed on a pad that is just like a sponge. This sponge absorbs & hold all those spills. All that soil that is like powder makes its way to the pad also.
Now when the carpet gets any moisture on it a wicking action starts & all of that junk in the pad wicks straight up to the carpet fibers. Scenario: your carpet was just cleaned and has been wet for 5 hours, you wipe your hand across it to feel how dry it is but it is still wet & you smell your hand, your hand smells like 10,000 dirty feet. Why? Because all that stuff has now wicked back up to the top of the carpet fibers.
Because of the laws of gravity & wicking are why I am dedicated to Rapid Speed Dry! I want this process of anything wicking to the top snuffed out & the carpets left clean.
